Your Tasks

  • Support the technical qualification of new customer and business opportunities before significant engineering resources are committed.
  • Lead system-level technical feasibility assessments during RFQs and provide clear technical recommendations.
  • Translate customer and product needs into system requirements, product-level architecture, interfaces and engineering priorities.
  • Lead multidisciplinary technical decisions and trade-offs in customers projects considering performance, cost, quality, manufacturability, sustainability and compliance.
  • Identify and manage system-level technical risks, integration issues and design maturity throughout development.
  • Guide multidisciplinary engineering teams across mechanical, hydraulic, thermal, electrical, software and control disciplines without direct disciplinary responsibility.
  • Work with Category Technology Leads, Commercial and Platform Architecture to assess product fit, reuse potential and platform opportunities.
  • Maximize reuse of WIK technologies and architectures and feed project learning and customer needs back into future platform development.
  • Act as a senior technical interface in complex customer discussions and support structured clarification of technical requirements.
  • Work closely with Quality, Industrialization, Sourcing, Validation and Product Compliance to ensure robust design, manufacturability and appropriate technical evidence.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Typically 8-10+ years of relevant product-development experience in complex electromechanical products.
  • Strong experience in coffee, beverage systems, or closely related fluid/thermal products.
  • Strong knowledge of fluid/hydraulic and thermal systems, including pumps, valves, heaters, flow control and sensing.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating mechanics, electronics, embedded software, sensors and controls into complete products.
  • Experience with requirements engineering, DFMEA, technical risk management, verification and validation.
  • Experience taking products from concept and requirements through development and industrialization.
  • Full proficiency in Englis is a must.
