Your Tasks

  • Lead the Electronics and Embedded Software Engineering organization, fostering a strong, accountable, collaborative, and high-performing engineering culture through talent development, coaching, succession planning, and performance management
  • Strengthen organizational engineering capabilities and develop technical leaders to support current and future product portfolio requirements, innovation, and engineering excellence
  • Lead electronic hardware development from concept through industrialization, ensuring robust circuit, PCB, power, interface, and control-system designs that meet performance, reliability, cost, manufacturability, and sustainability objectives
  • Oversee the development, integration, and lifecycle management of embedded firmware and product software, ensuring disciplined architecture, coding, debugging, version control, cybersecurity, diagnostics, and serviceability practices
  • Drive hardware-software integration, design reviews, DFMEA, technical risk management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement to ensure reliable and optimized product performance
  • Lead the implementation of connectivity technologies, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cloud interfaces, mobile app integration, OTA updates, and advanced sensing technologies, ensuring robust calibration, diagnostics, and system validation
  • Lead electronics and embedded software integration for coffee, beverage, and water systems, ensuring effective control of pumps, valves, heating, cooling, water treatment functions, sensors, and electromechanical system performance.
  • Provide technical leadership in the selection, qualification, development, and management of electronics, software, and technology suppliers, ensuring compliance with WIK engineering, quality, documentation, and lifecycle standards
  • Drive predictable delivery of electronics and software development programs against scope, quality, cost, and timing targets, supporting validation, technical reviews, production readiness, engineering transfer, and manufacturing ramp-up
  • Integrate product compliance, cybersecurity, environmental, EMC, radio/connectivity, and sustainability requirements into development activities, ensuring appropriate documentation, technical evidence, energy efficiency, repairability, and lifecycle management practices

Your Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline
  • Substantial experience in electronics and embedded-software product development, ideally in complex electromechanical consumer products, appliances, coffee, beverage or water systems
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary electronics and software engineering teams.
  • Strong track record in people development, performance management, recruitment and capability building.
  • Experience taking products from concept through validation, industrialization and mass production.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic hardware, embedded firmware, sensors, connectivity and system integration.
  • Experience managing external development partners and suppliers while retaining internal technical control.
  • Good understanding of product safety, EMC, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity and sustainable electronics development.
